"
Pity," Chiyo responded dully with half-lidded eyes as the metal fan lifted itself off the floor and returned to its spot on the wall, "
Must have slipped my mind." she said, allowing gravity to slowly pull her back to the ground.
A sigh of sorts escaped and Chiyo lifted her hands from her sides to her chest with her palms facing upward. All the candles around them lit up, brightening the room suddenly. "
I know of nobody with the name 'Whatever'." she said, then, without another glance at her husband, turned around in a graceful manner and returned to her previous spot before the mirror. "
Perhaps you should reconsider, seeing as 'puffy sleeves' are trending this season."
Her eyes fixated on the mirror, Chiyo lowered herself and sat down on the soft, scented, silk cushion, "
And might I also add that they do compliment your nonexistent personality well?" she said, fully overlooking whatever sexual comment and drama that her husband was sprouting.
She momentarily stared at the mirror surface where billions and billions of planets were shown but as Fumito began to approach her, the queen's crimson orbs finally slid over to him. She blinked once when her hand was taken into his and with that same blank face still intact, Chiyo's half-lidded eyes returned to the mirror, "
Denied." she returned flatly, but her usually emotionless features faltered for one fraction of a millisecond when she felt something against her hand before she could retrieve it fully. "
Patience is a virtue and desperation will get you nowhere in life; might I suggest humiliating a paid woman - someone of your own status - next time?"
Despite her disgust, the queen remained calm as she wiped her hand with a handkerchief, hardly paying much attention to what the king was blabbering about. His words hardly ever had much effect on her after all. Especially when they've been married for more than just a couple hundreds of years.
"
It saddens me to understand that your conversational creativity has yet to improve since our last encounter." Chiyo commented in a rather nonchalant manner when Fumito's insults finally came to an end. "
Yes, please see yourself out. I am in dire need of ridding myself of your germs." she said, raising to her feet in an elegant manner and reached her right hand out. A basket full of flower petals floated to her gently.
She had no choice but to sigh though when Fumito - instead of leaving - shouted at her. The basket remained floating near her side as Chiyo turned to face her husband... like she was finally acknowledging his presence. "
A war in the garden and I will beg Kami-sama to destroy you." A simple threat, but Chiyo meant every bits and pieces of it, what with her obvious obsession with flowers and all. "
Your chamber will be a more favourable choice." she said, fully ignoring once again the sexual undertone in their conversation.
Truth be told, she wasn't very comfortable with "doing things" with her husband at all. Not because she was embarrassed or anything. It was more to do with how... Not only was Fumito's personality a sickening one, what could really drive Chiyo up the wall about him was the fact that he was as disgusting as a god could get; what importance did beauty hold when he could barely manage to keep himself clean?
Though of course, Chiyo was more than used to it. She had given up a long time ago, knowing that she was stuck with Fumito for the rest of eternity. She would never be allowed to divorce him.
Not that she would be very happy about it either, though. Time could never exist without space, and vice versa. All the existing universes would be thrown off balance if they went their separate ways.
"Your highness?" Chiyo's vision slid to the exit of her room and she saw that her fifty gallons of sake had arrived. "Your majesty." the shirtless, jock-like men glanced and bowed respectfully to Fumito before their leader glanced back to Chiyo, "Where would you like these, your high-" "
In the corner there will be fine!" Chiyo interrupted, sounding almost eager as she now took on a child-like persona. She was all smiles as small pink flowers danced about her person.
"
Would you boys like to drink with me?" the queen offered in a cheery tone while waltzing over to the insane amount of alcohol that were being unloaded. Smiling with closed eyes, Chiyo spun around to face Fumito, "
And you, Shito? You may have a small glass as well if you'd like, though I'd prefer if you drink it outside my room."
"Uhm, your highness... Speaking to his majesty in such a manner is-" the men flinched when Chiyo looked to them and continued to sparkle in her suddenly lightened mood.
"
Where're my dearest Akatsuki and Hibiki? Perhaps I should drink with them instead? In the garden, maybe?" the goddess suggested with obvious sarcasm but blinked suddenly - were her children even in the palace?
Funny how she could go from intelligent to near idiotic whenver she was in the presence of alcohol.
Though her current idiocy still didn't stop her from attempting to open one of the pots that contained the sake. However, her efforts were soon left in vain. "
What's this? Disobedience?" Chiyo blinked quickly and her delicately thin brows pushed together, her bottom lip pushing upward almost to form what could be taken as a pout, "
My king, open it for me!" she ordered, looking to Fumito.
"Your highness, allow
us to-" "
I want Shito-!" with the type of frustration befitting of a child, Chiyo jumped in front of the pots protectively then stompped her left foot and pointed at her husband, seemingly drunk already even when she hadn't even physically touched a drop yet, "
I want Shito to do it! Shito! Darling! Open these for me before you leave!" Chiyo said loudly then fluttered quickly to the king. Though she merely stood before him, eagerly pointing back to the alcohol instead of trying to pull the ruler
to her currently favourite corner; no matter how desperate she was feeling at the moment, she would never want to dirty her own hands by touching Fumito. "
Hurry, husband! Before I go insane!"
