LET'S HOPE YOU HAVE A PERSONALITY! demon of lust, marina - sometimes known as miss sakurakoji or marissa thorne - is an incredibly GOAL-ORIENTED woman. usually taking on a rather sharp and professional persona, she is ALLURING, CHARISMATIC, and CULTURED, always CALM and LEVEL-HEADED no matter the situation as she has the ability to remain SUAVE even after the table's been turned. what comes with that professional facade are her ELEGANCE and SOPHISTICATION. marina is a full blown OPPORTUNIST, always taking advantage of those around her so long as they can satisfy her MATERALISTIC needs. marina is a CUNNING gold digger, but not a very obvious one as she tends to appear rather WHIMSICAL and RELIABLE though - of course - she will never do anything without a plausible reason. her ego is her biggest downfall, usually preventing her from saying and/or doing exactly what she believes, especially since she takes so much PRIDE in her career as an information broker. however, marina hardly wears her arrogance - if ever - on her, although it really doesn't take too much getting to know her for others to learn of the true MALICIOUS ice queen that lies between the two exiting layers of persona inside marina; one being the uptight businesswoman side that many can see, and the other being that FRAGILE and even EMOTIONAL side that she struggles to ignore. sure marina can be COLD-HEARTED and SELFISH when it comes to her goals but despite appearance, she can also be quite GLUTTONOUS and SPOILED, usually wasting whatever money she's earned on pointless luxuries right after receiving the sum. though, no matter how much she eats, because marina is only of real use verbally, she is - in reality - a lot physically weaker than other women of her size. contrary to popular belief, marina actually dislikes anything pleasant. she can't stand perfection and prefers mostly the more "sinister" side of things, claiming that it is easier and more comfortable for her to live in the dark than it is to survive under the light. and despite being the demon of lust, marina actually doesn't seem to be very sensual at first glance. she's CHARMING and in all actuality emits at least ten times more pheromones than normal women, but due to her high sense of self-importance, marina rarely behaves - nor dresses - seductively or "sluttily" as one might assume; she will do so only when it is very much beneficial for her. YOU GOTTA COME FROM SOMEWHERE! sexual desire, the one emotion that leads many into temptation. marina - the incarnation of exactly that - took over as the demon of lust after the previous was killed. however, despite what many would associate her with, marina has not once been the most interested in the physical intimacies and/or desires of others. instead, she's always more concerned with what she herself wants. money. lots of money. fame and popularity never exactly made it to the top of her list however as she can really care less about either. but so long as she can manage to get her hands on some of that material luxury, marina is unafraid of how far she needs to take her actions. one can imagine that she has wronged many - gods, demons, familiars, and halflings alike - throughout her life because of this. although marina rarely ever stops to think over all the ill emotions she's caused. when the civil war against the humans broke out in hisoka many years ago, marina was amongst those who took the opportunity to benefit themselves. she was quickly labelled as a traitor to her own kind as she began to sell information to not only the gods and demons, but the humans as well. though she never turned into an outcast seeing as she did manage to talk her way out of trouble. instead, she soon became well-known amongst the underground societies for being one of the most reliable information brokers. and most of those that had even the slightest bits of connections knew that marina was the right person to go to if they ever needed some sort of research done on certain targets. to this day, marina continues to be the information broker that she once was. although at the same time she also takes on the tasks of a private detective - even if she refuses to be viewed as one - and will sell practically any piece of info to anybody that's got the right amount of vaulables to trade.
