HELPFUL to the point it can get annoying, crossing an old lady across the street, to helping girl scouts sell cookies and even the extremes of giving CPR to not the most attractive looking people. Mayu life revolves around everyone else and is an obvious WORKOHOLIC, it isn’t clear on the outside but Mayu doesn’t love her job, infact it wears her down until she is weak and unable to do anything but collapse. Already ill, she still manages to push her body through limits most terminally ill cannot due to her lineage. EASILY ANGERED at times, Mayu's breaking point isn’t far from her normal state, unlike most though, she doesn’t scream and yell, she is physically violent but with objects, books, needles, chairs- anything handy at the time, and after that Mayu returns to normal within seconds, so I think it's safe to say she's also has BI-POLAR tendencies, which wear her out most of all, especially if she has to hit someone. One thing that does tend to trigger her anger more often is people's loss of hope, patients, strangers, people that have lost their way and do nothing to change it for the better, anyone that rots with no purpose and even worse people who do that and are happy to do so as well. Mayu is DETERMINED to change peoples views, she likes to think she is the 'kick in the butt' to start them going and to start them enjoying life, this is mainly because of the shortage of life she has left within herself. Mayu doesn’t like things to be wasted. FAKE personality over shadows her true feelings, Mayu tries to mix together happy things with bad thoughts, she hides away any depression that creeps up, however it is up to you to decide whether it is real or not- often it is both. The halfing again thinking of others before herself frequently convinces herself that her depression will bring others down- so she hides it and she hides it well enough to convince just about everyone. When Mayu is alone is when everything goes downhill, situations at work bring her down, her health brings her down, her incapabilities become more apparent, sudden shaking, coughing etc. Secretly DEPRESSED, Mayu doesn’t even have the energy to comfort herself at times and through this has developed an ADDICTED towards certain medical painkillers, much stronger than any you buy. Despite her bad traits Mayu is LOYAL to her friends, and very people oriented. She listens well, and gives good advice that she does not take herself. Although sometimes depending on the environment Mayu isn’t always sad when she’s alone, she finds happiness in nature, its unfortunate she hardly sees it. YOU GOTTA COME FROM SOMEWHERE! Mayu is half human, with some DNA of the God of healing, An unfortunate coincidence that the infant was born with a terminal illness that would eventually take her life any time after her twentieth birthday. Some fortunate came from her lineage, though it did not completely get rid of Mayu's illness, it did take away any pain that the symptoms might cause towards the date. Mayu also has a talent in medicinal areas, but whether that is due to her determination to care for others is also a factor. Growing up Mayu had some idea of her godly parent but she was never interested I knowing much more then their name, if she was not surrounded by them than she did not care. Purely focusing her life around her sole human parent and any friends she may have had during her times through school, and college. Demons, gods and other halfings never interested her, she respected those who had more power over her but Mayu always understood that her job was to help those who needed it, Gods were unlikely to arrive at the hospital as they were very rarely hurt so her experience with them was very little, same for demons. Mayu was formally engaged, proposed to in college to her high school sweet heart who was also studying to become a doctor, however the romance afterwards did not find a very happy ending, Mayu has never been one to share much information about her illness and at the one moment she decided too came the worst reaction. Clearly her then ex-fiancé decided that he couldn’t go to work to tend to the ill and then come home to do the same again- despite Mayu disagreeing she'd need any help. It ended painfully quickly, and to be even more painful they now both work at the same hospital within Hisoka's city centre, Mayu as a nurse and he as the doctor above her. Another reason why she dislikes her job so much, if you're lucky enough patient of hers she'll be swayed into a rant and even be willing to share some personal details- but only if you're lucky, and she's annoyed enough. Presently Mayu still lives within the centre of Hisoka, her health is a little worse for wear but you could hardly notice if you were anyone but herself. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PAPERWORK! NICKNAME: NIMI!
