Rika's gaze was somewhat blank as she dragged her feet down a block of the east end of the city. Hanging her head, a sigh of pure irate escaped through her lips and the "twenty year old" reached into her worn out messenger bag for her wallet. The small squirrel that was previously sitting on her head scurried down to her right shoulder as the young woman opened then flipped her wallet upside down.
Nothing fell out of the said wallet.
Rivers began to flow down her cheeks from her eyes immediately as her pet squeaked, almost sounding as if it was sympathizing his owner. "What the hell, what the hell, what the helllll..." Rika mumbled under her breath then groaned.
It was one of those days when she would come into the city to do a few errands and stay in contact with the rest of the island, but for some reason she had already run out of money even before the nightfall. Not that she was very rich to begin with though, since Amemiya Rika had always been anything but. Sure she lived in a candy house and all, but that was only because she knew some magic.
The corners of her mouth curled downward as she glanced about, the feeling of hunger already starting to become a tad unbearable. She growled as did her stomach. Rika closed her eyes with a frown, "Dammit all," she complained aloud. Her brow twitched ever so slightly and she stuffed her hands into the pockets of her jean jacket. "If this keeps up, I'm totally gonna end up-" her eyes opened and her feet suddenly stopped in their tracks when - amongst all the stores and such down the block - a particular place stood out for her. "... Robbing a restaurant." her emerald eyes blinked once and slowly, a mischievous grin creeped around her lips. "Think I should do it, Maro-chan?" Rika asked quietly, her grin widening as her brow lifted high up on her forehead. "Yeah. That's what I thought."
Screw going back home and start nibbling on her furnitures and such. That's just pathetic really. And besides, she was kind of sick of candy these days, especially when someone else who lived in the forest - that liked to eat her house as well - was always trying to physically abuse her. What a pain in the ass that guy was. It was probably time to consider paying a visit to one of those realtors.
"Food time~ Food time~ Amerika's favourite time of the day~" the young woman sang to herself under her breath as she snuck around to the back of the restaurant where it led to the kitchen. She unfastened her rifle and brought it to her chest as she leaned against the brick wall, waiting patiently for someone to come out.
Several minutes passed and Rika, now with her head tilted and her eyes half-lidded, had a vein thumping at her temple. "Yeah. Alright. So it's supper time. But what's the big deal? Are these people workaholics or something? Or do they not have any garbage to..." her voice trailed off and suddenly, Rika smirked. "Keh heh heh." snickering, she peeled her back off the brick wall and raised her rifle, tapping it gently on the door, "Oiii!" she said in a loud voice, "Delivery for-" her vision slid quickly to catch the plate that read "UNLOADING ZONE ONLY - Shinju Restaurant", "Shinju." she added quickly.
In a few seconds' time, the door swung open, but there was a gasp of horror when the errand boy saw the gun in Rika's hand. The "twenty year old" blinked up at him and raised the rifle a tad, "Yo." she greeted and he instantly tried to close the door. But Rika was faster and stuck the barrel in the way. The boy nearly screamed and Rika frowned, "I'll jab your eyes out with it if you make a sound, y'know." tilting her head quickly, she raised a brow at him, "Go grab me something to eat or something, will ya? I'm starving here. Don't think you'd want someone to die at your backdoor, catch my drift?" she said, her tone of voice far from the light-hearted, unserious one she usually used. Hunger was really starting to get into her head and she couldn't say that she was happy at all.
Minutes later, the red-head was strolling down the block again with a paper bag full of food in her left arm. She bit into a pita and smiled blissfully to herself. Her vision rolled upward to the top of her head where her pet was busy storing nuts in his cheeks. "Sometimes I think I'm a genius. Just sayin'. But you gotta admit, Maro. I was pretty damn badass just now." she smirked as the sound of the ocean hit her ears. Her day was turning out to be not so terrible after all.

( YOU THOUGHT YOU'D FOUND A FRIEND ) TO TAKE YOU OUT OF THIS PALCE SOMEONE YOU COULD LAND A HAND ( IN RETURN FOR GRACE ) Hachiko stared with big eyes at the restaurant in front of her. She'd never been in such a classy place, usually she wouldn't even set foot in the east district but today was special. Indeed, she had met an angel in the west district, a nice business man that offered her a warm meal and those were the best by far. Well she liked snacks as well but they couldn't compare.
This nice man asked her some strange questions though. Like how old she was, if she had any family, if anyone would be concerned about her safety is she was gone. Hachiko answered truthfully as she always did and then the kind person smiled at her and opened the door of his luxurious car. While they were driving she noticed that he had a laptop and the said object began to have a conversation with her. She had found a lot of interesting things about the businessman. Like how he had many pictures of your girls and boys and that he played strange games with them. When Hachiko asked him about it the man's face turned pale and he looked terrified.
He begged her not to tell anyone about it and said he'll do anything for her silence. Hachiko was really surprised, not only was he offering a warm meal but he would also fulfill any of her wishes. She was incredibly lucky to have met him.
The door of the restaurant was suddenly opened and Hachiko took a step back not knowing what to do. The man gave her a forced smiled and gesture her to go inside where she was greeted by a young and nice looking waiter. "Table for two, sir?"
"Yes, please. Non-smokers." The waiter nodded shortly and took two menus before walking them to their table. Hachiko sat down and took the menu looking quite confused, not sure what to do with it.
"You order anything you want, Hachiko-chan."
"Honto ni? Says Hachiko as Hachiko wanting to pinch her cheeks in order to make sure she's not dreaming." She sparkled happily and clapped her hands a few times before opening the menu and pretty much ordering anything that she thought sounded good.
One hour later the small brunette was finally full and the business man probably lost a small fortune. He was about to pay when the door of the restaurant was opened and the police came inside. Hachiko frowned as she watched the men in uniform. She didn't like them, nope, not one bit. They always chased her around the west district trying to get her into one of those houses with lots of kids. A waiter began to tell them that he had been threaten by a young girl with red hair that had a squirrel on her shoulder. Seeing as how the business man was listening to what the other adults were talking about, Hachiko quietly slipped under the table and managed to get out of the restaurant without anyone noticing her.
The small girl strolled down the street with amazement written all over her face. The east district was so different than the west. It was clean and peaceful, a little boring now that she thought about it. She wanted to go home but was unsure which way to take. As she continued her walk she noticed a young girl not too far from her and decided to ask for directions. When she approached the said girl her chocolate eyes widen and she pointed her index finger.
"Ah the thief from the restaurant! Says Hachiko as Hachiko not being able to hide her surprise." But if she was the girl then the policemen were after her. "Hurry! Hurry! The bad men in uniforms are looking for you! Says Hachiko who is truly concerned." She looked quickly left and right as though she was expecting the policemen to jump from one of the nearby bushes.

The red-head gave a content sigh and closed her emerald eyes. "Hurrr... she raised her arms and stretched her aching muscles. It wasn't always easy to be someone like Amemiya Rika. Even if she did enjoy running around a lot, she really wasn't the most athletic. More like, she was just average. She caught on to things fast so she had pretty good reflexes, but it's not like she was strong or super flexible.
"Goo~ chisou~ samaaa~♥" the "twenty year old" said aloud to the stars above, encircling her mouth with a loose formation of her hands after she tossed the paper bag over her shoulder carelessly. "How was it, Maro-chan? Go ahead and praise me for-!" her eyes that had rolled upward blinked in unison at the night sky upon hearing the voice of a young girl, "Keh heh?"
Slowly looking down to the owner of the voice, Rika blinked a couple more times and pointed a finger at herself, "Thief? Me? ... Are you talking to me?" she asked, then looked around a bit incase the girl was talking to someone else. But she wasn't. The two of them were the only ones near this area at the moment. Well, thief... She said restaurant, but it's not like Rika had stolen from one or anything. She'd robbed one, yeah, but that's different from stealing. She didn't exactly sneak in and then take something without permission. In fact, she got permission - an extremely reluctant one, sure, but it was a permission nonetheless.
"How do you even know anything about stealing, anyway? Well, obviously you don't since I didn't even steal anything. Then again," Rika's eyebrow raised as her head cocked to one side, taking on a confused look, "You're like, what, five?" she contemplated, eyeing Hachiko a bit, "... Ehh, okay. Ten at most."
With a shrug, the crimson-haired girl raised a hand and then snapped her fingers. The rifle strapped at her back disappeared. Rika grinned at the young brunette, "Oho. Wonder where that went. Three guesses, 'kay? One, it's invisible. Two, it's invisible. Three, it's invisible. And for a bonus point," her eyes rolled up for a slight moment and she snickered through her teeth, "Ten bucks says I can make your clothes disappear too if I really wanna." she winked, "But then that'd just look pedo. Plus it's getting too chilly to run around naked now."
Gesturing to one of the trees, Rika glanced to the squirrel that was sitting on her shoulder, "Time to take refuge, Maro. I'll meet you back home." she suggested in a light-hearted, singsong sort of tone. "So," with a rather cheerful smile - considering nothing could spoil her mood now that she was full again - the young cult leader glanced back to Hachiko, "What were you saying about these 'bad men'? They can't really be after me, y'know? Keh heh. I bet they just wanted to molest you or something. Ahh, I feel ya." she blinked and gave a laugh, "That's what she said~"
Another shrug of her shoulders and Rika slid her hands into the pocket at the centre of her shirt, "Whatever. They're not gonna be able to arrest me if they don't have any proof, kiddy. Thanks for... Well. Nothing. I think you should go home before your Mom or Dad - or both of them I guess - start to worry." her eyes blinked and she turned first her head then her entire body and began to walk away, "I'm going home too before that homewrecker eats my front door."
She scoffed a little and continued down the path she was still on. She glanced over her shoulder casually to check on the young brunette but blinked when she noticed that she was still there. Rika's eyebrow raised, "Ya lost? No, right? I mean, you're smart enough to know what a thief is, so I bet you know exactly where your house is, too." she said, but then gave a small snicker, "Or, heh, lemme guess - my back looks super hot and turns you on? Ffft. Oh yeah. Of course. That's obviously the reason since you're really an old creeper instead of a ten year old smarty pants."
There was a moment's pause and Rika's lips pursed after she gave her comment a thorough thought through. One corner of her mouth raised and her eyes slid left, "Keh heh. Now I have a weird image in my head." she said, raising her index finger and pointed at her own forehead, "Memory erase."

( YOU THOUGHT YOU'D FOUND A FRIEND ) TO TAKE YOU OUT OF THIS PALCE SOMEONE YOU COULD LAND A HAND ( IN RETURN FOR GRACE ) "Yes! Of course! Says Hachiko as Hachiko wondering if there might be other girls with braided twin-tails and such a weird hair color." She blinked at the 'thief' and questioned why she hadn't began to run already. Had the brunette not been clear? Did she perhaps want the bad men in uniforms to catch her? Did she want to rot for the rest of her life in a cell?
"How do you know if Hachiko knows anything about stealing? Says Hachiko as Hachiko while wiggling her eyebrows." She was smart this thief, she knew things that others did not. Could she perhaps read minds? Or maybe she was some kind of weird stalker that had been watching her for a long time and her meeting with the nice rich man who offered her lunch was nothing more than the redhead's evil plan to take the brunette out of the west district and capture her in order to sell her organs. Then again she could just randomly point things out and Hachiko was just letting her imagination to get the best of her...again.
"Hachiko is..." She stopped and blinked like an idiot. How old was she? She didn't know when she was born but her recent memories dated from a year ago so she could consider that as her age. She took a deep breath and tried it again. "Hachiko is one year old! Says Hachiko as Hachiko while throwing her arms in the air in an excited way." And indeed she did just that.
The brunette's eyes widen when the girl made the riffle from her back to disappear. It was magic! Or maybe she had a weapon that dematerialized things. Either or it was cool! "Do it again! Do it again!" She clapped her hands happily completely forgetting about her plan to run away. Yes, she was the type who got easily distracted.
"Why would you want to see Hachiko naked? Does it perhaps turn you on? Says Hachiko at Hachiko questioning your taste." Well she was pretty much a skinny flat-chested girl. She couldn't really attract anyone with her looks.
She almost did not hear what the other girl said, her attention being focused on the small squirrel that she hadn't notice in the beginning. This girl had a weird hair color, threaten people for food, read minds, had a pet squirrel and made things disappeared. She was obviously an alien who crashed landed on this island. No wonder she didn't know who the bad men in uniforms were.
"Hachiko likes you, strange alien with weird hair. You make no sense at all. Says Hachiko as Hachiko before giggling in her hand." Her palm went to her lips as she giggled and stared at the redhead. Although very talented with her little tricks the alien didn't seem very smart. Had she forgotten that she left behind a witness? Maybe she was planning to go back and kill him later.
"Mom and dad?" Hachiko titled her head to the side before rubbing her chin. She woke up all alone in that apartment, no pictures or any clues that could hint she had a family. However, she must have come from somewhere, right? There was a trace a sadness in her eyes for a few moments but it quickly disappeared. "Hachiko does not posses such people. She lives alone." She didn't answer her question about being able to get home by herself but it shouldn't be too hard. She remembered quite well the streets the car drove on so all she had to do was trace them back.
"You say a lot of random and nonsensical things, strange alien. You make Hachiko laugh." It seemed she had even more imagination that the brunette.
"Ne, ne! From what planet did you came from? How did your spaceship crash? Do you have a mom and dad? Where do you live? Can you make jellybeans fall from the sky?" She clanged to the girl's arm with wide eyes that literally sparkled in excitement. She wanted to know more about this alien and help her in any way possible. After all she didn't seem to know what dangers lurked around this island.

"'Does it perhaps turn you on', she asks," Rika crossed her eyes and stuck out her tongue for a moment as she imitated the small girl, but rather quickly, her brow gave a twitch and she looked back to the child with half-lidded eyes and a sweat drop, "... I bet your parents watch porn in front of you or something."
Scratching the back of her head, the red-head frowned and looked away briefly with a sigh. This was too much. A little eight year old girl - or whatever her age was - talking about things normal kids wouldn't even know of. It's not like Rika herself was particularly old but, she was still raised that way - to be more mature and definitely to be more independent. Just because she herself was unaware of her real age didn't mean that her adoptive Father's plan hadn't worked.
With a small snort, Rika's vision slid back to Hachiko as she shoved her hands into her pockets, "Ya think I have weird hair?" her shoulders sagged as she stared blankly at the ahoge on Hachiko's head, "I wonder who has a piece of hair sticking out like an antenna here..." she mumbled, then closed her eyes again, "Sure, of course you like me, 'cause I'm totally not a complete stranger or anything. Hehh. You'd be in so much trouble right now if I were some sorta pedophile. ... And why do you keep saying you're gonna do something before you do it? That's kinda retar-" Rika blinked and one corner of her mouth twitched as she tried to offer a friendly grin, "Keh heh."
She slowly took in a deep breath then quickly exhaled, "Right. No Mom and no Dad. You're either an abandoned kid, or your parents never even told you they're your parents. Okay, well, uh, no big deal." Rika shrugged as she threw her hands on her hips. She remained silent for a moment as she thought over what Hachiko said about living alone and suddenly, it came to her.
... This girl was either a god or a demon - or just a "mutated human" as Rika would call them.
Made sense, didn't it? Even if she was some kind of genius or child prodigy, no eight year old would even talk like she did. Besides, gods and demons could shapeshift as far as Rika knew. Indeed, skeptical as she was, Amemiya Rika definitely wasn't one to easily believe in other people's motives or exactly what they appeared to be, even if she happened to be more curious than most.
Besides, she knew what parents were... Yet she didn't have them? She was either stupid or have a lot of imagination or she really was some sort of higher life form. Rika's bottom lip stuck out for a moment and she folded her arms at her chest as she stared down at Hachiko, "No thank you, no twenty question games for me today." she gave a small snort and began to walk away with her arms crossed, "'Do you have a Mom and a Dad?', 'Where do you live?'... What're you, some kinda creepy stalker?" Rika grumbled to herself with a frown, "Even if I'm not a genius, I'm not that stupid either so, sorry missy but no thank you missy - it's enough that I have to stop a weirdo from damaging my house on a daily bases."
After a few steps however the "twenty year old" blinked and stopped in her tracks. ... So... What happened then, if this girl wasn't actually a god or a demon? Would it seem like she was letting a little eight year old roam around on her own? Rika's eyebrow arched as she thought hard about the situation. ... But she was fine on her own, wasn't she? It's not like she looked like she was starved or anything, even if she did claim that she "lived alone".
"Mmmeh." with another shrug, Rika began walking again but then glanced over her shoulder briefly just to see if Hachiko was still there. It's not like it mattered that much, what she said about the "bad men in uniforms" coming after her. She'd rid of her gun and all the food and Meru was nowhere near her. What evidence did they have, anyway? Rika's eyes were half-lidded as she pursed her lips out for a moment and made a face at Hachiko - not very mature at all as her Father'd hoped now, was she?
